What species are kept?

ISIS lists there being two ceratogymna birds, is this a mix up or does blackbrook have some black or yellow casqued hornbills?!?

Any other general news?
 
In that case ask bloodycurtis as he should know what they are or read the other Blackbrook threads as i think it may be mentioned what they are in one of them.
 
I just visited Blackbrook at the weekend and the only hornbill I saw were the pair of Trumpeters near the Penguin pool. Not sure if these Silvery Cheeked were off-show, I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything!

I didn't see Livingstone's Turaco either which was supposed to be in with the Abdim's Storks, can you tell me if they are still held at Blackbrook?

And finally what about Temminck's Courser? I'd seen a photo of it in the gallery and have never seen one before, but again didn't manage to find it. Can anyone tell me where they've seen it or whether it has moved on?
 
blackbrook currently only have Trumpeter Hornbill, Bycanistes bucinator, we have never had casqued hornbill's. the livingstones touarcos are in the avairy but usually hide in the shed.
new species to blackbrook are Geronticus calvus southern bald ibis and Hartlaub's Turaco, Tauraco hartlaubi

Where were the southern African Geronticus calvus sourced from? Very few European collections have them on show (more usual is the European Geronticus eremita)?
 
all i know is a place in belguim possible called MALDEGEM? or somthing like that i could send u a few more details if you could help identify the place.
 
Are sothern bald ibis currently in with the northern bald ibis as when i visited at the weekend, there was deffenatly a few odd looking bald ibis in their?
