I thought that this was already a certainty, but apparently a $15,000 feasibility study will be conducted to see if the Columbus Zoo will construct a hotel in the area. With one of North America's best zoos, a waterpark, an amusement park and even a golf course I'm sure that some of the almost 2 million people who visit the zoo would spend the night and make it a multi-day visit.

It will be interesting to see what the results are. Other than DAK are there any other zoos that have hotels on grounds?

I'm wracking my brain, but I can't think of any. Not exactly a zoo, but Texas' Fossil Rim has a small Lodge -- in which I spent a night a while back.

The Wilds and White Oak have a lodge(s) but for big bucks. If they are planning a hotel at Columbus I hope it will be like the Lodge at DAK.

I think they should go for it. I envision a hotel with an indoor waterpark and other things to do like a mini golf course. There is some land inbetween Powell Road and the parking lot.
