According to this Twitter post https://twitter.com/bundaazam/status/259871588411904000Dunno if it's true but TSI used to had gorillas back in the 2000s, and its exhibit is near the exit for the reptile tunnel and the Safari Kuring restaurant. The exhibit is still vacant until now, but I only briefly walked past its former exhibit multiple times during my visits on 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2018 respectively. Dunno if it's already inhabited by other primates.

there is a gorilla in Taman Safari Bogor. But it could be false, as the background looks similar to Ragunan Zoo's Kihi exhibit.
There is YouTube video of gorilla which the uploader claimed to be at Taman Safari.
It could be false, but the exhibits looks very similar to the Primate Center's Sumatran orangutan exhibit, but it could just be a coincidence and the gorilla shown in the video is housed in a different zoo.
But, there is actually a statue of a gorilla in the Primate Center and I don't think they would waste some money to build a statue of a animal that they didn't own. But, again, I'm still skeptical of the claim.
Makoua was Rotterdam's single silverback male. They tried to introduce him to the single female Sophie. It failed so he was sent away- Director did not want single animals anymore.Apparently, Surabaya Zoo used to have an gorilla named Makua from the Netherlands in the late 1970's. His exhibit is still standing and houses Hamadryas baboon as of 2017.
