As the resident cynic, I will state that this is great news, but ask who will patrol this vast area, where the money to do so will come from, and how will illegal shark fishermen be punished.

My answers will probably be: no one, nowhere, and slap on the wrist.

Ah! The good old days when South East Asians and Chinese couldn't afford shark fin, rhino horn, ivory, tiger parts etc etc etc.
