HOWDY ALL A QUESTION

living in the USVI and due to the many regulations involving importing regulations ...what do you think about beginning by only housing and nurturing only current local flora and fauna? Introducing the local children to the wonders of what grows in their own back-yards and what they may encounter if by only looking for it and hopefully instilling in them a respect for and eliminate the fear of our local friends. The added bonus would be to introduce visitors to our islands beasties. What do you all think? Thanks MS mlsentz@gmail.com

If there is no nature center or zoo already in the Virgin Islands, then I think it is a fantastic idea!

Doesn't coral world already do that? Or has it turned into strictly a tourist attraction?

Just be sure to learn the local laws very well. Many areas are much more strict about keeping native species than exotics. Other than that, I think it's a great idea. It's important that people know about the species they share space with and the impact their actions have.
