Iberian Lynx trip report

The Travel Company Wild Wolf Experience - wolf watching tours in rural Spain . I offering wolf watching tours in the Sierra de la Culbra and lynx wtching tours in the Sierra de Andujar .

The trip reports on here make interesting reading. Although wolves are obviously still plentiful here, the success rate for seeing them seems pretty low. On one week-long visit in August, they apparently only saw Wolf on the last evening watch, presumably as there were morning and evening watches each day for the whole week, that means 12-14 watches, which gives a success rate of only approx 1 sighting(s) in 12/14 watches. On one of the July(?) visits, they never saw Wolf on any of the watches, though they were obviously present- heard howling etc.

They may have a higher success rate in the winter months when prey is scarcer, but so are the paying tourists!

They do indeed; let us hope that eventually, ambassador animals will return to non-Iberian collections :p
