Since 6 days ago, an immature steppe eagle stays in fields around village Skaštice (eastern Czech rep.). Many local birdwatchers travel there to twitch it.
The bird has no signs of falconry (ring, binders...). But considering how rare wild steppe eagles are here - none were seen for +40 years - this still might be ex-captive bird.
Have you heard about any steppe eagle escape from zoos or private in recent months? It could travel large distance.
