Sad news anounced today of the passing of Brian Barczyk,American Reptile expert and owner of the Reptile Reptarium Zoo and Legasea Aquarium,in Utica,Michigan,USA. He was a prolific youtuber uploading many videos on his reptile collection and his love of the beasts, and influenced many a home reptile enthusiast. He kept on posting about his zoo and his battles with cancer right up until near the end.

I would hope this thread would also be a place to post news of the sad passing of other folks that held great influence and admiration in the world of zoo keeping and wildlife expertise

I'm sadly a bit late to the thread but I'd just like to say a few words about Brian. I remember watching him when I was younger, especially his collabs with EvanTube, and later his reptile review style videos. So sad to hear about his passing, especially after the devastating news that he would never see the completion of his aquarium. In conclusion, to make it quick, Brian was an extremely likable person who touched many people during his YouTube career. Goodnight Brian, rip to a true legend.

Just thought i'd add the sad belated tribute to Primatologist and Anthropologist Dame Jane Goodall (1934-2025).She was a pioneer for primate research, especially for chimpanzee's,regarded as the foremost expert in that field. She strove to educate the wider world just how similar our relatives in the ape world, are, and to educate just how much it is to conxerve the species.Rest in Peace dear Jane.

PS Please feel free to post tributes to notable people who have touched our lives, snd the animal kingdom, and even notable animals.

No matter how big or small.Whether a big name activist or presenter or such, or even just that enthusiiastic and passionate animal lover you see on social media or know yourself?
