Hello all,

I'm from Iowa, but love to visit zoos and aquariums in my free time. I volunteered in high school at Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines, IA as a member of their ZooCrew program, assisting keepers in daily animal management and educating visitors. Currently studying for a bachelor's degree in Animal Science, with hopes of working at a zoo in the next few years. I love wildlife and love to hear about the latest happenings in the zoo community.
 
Welcome to Zoochat. Blank Park Zoo looks like it has some interesting exhibits. Have you had a chance to visit the ape facility in Iowa with the bonobos? Does that still exist?
