John Ball Zoo Is funicular a zoo world first?

Article about zoo expansion to the top of a hill says they will install a funicular to transport people. I wonder if this is the first zoo to have this feature? Oh wait, I just remembered I think Sydney Australia has this. Well maybe it is a first in the U.S.?

Taronga has a chair lift, not a funicular.

There is a funicular up to the entrance of Alpenzoo Innsbruck; not within the zoo, but close!

There is a funicular up the side of the Santiago Zoo in Chile - you can either go in the bottom entrance, or take the funicular up to the top entrance. It's a very steep zoo.

Not in the zoo itself though.

A quick google search suggests that Skansen in Sweden has a funicular - although I don't think it's actually near the zoo - in another part of the complex.
