Is the Lake Titicaca water frog becoming the most common frog in zoos ?

The species is spreading further and further !
During 2021 ( at least ) 3 more collections started to keep them :
- Chessington
- London Zoo
- Singapore Zoo ( which make it the first Asian zoo I'm aware of keeping the species )
During 2022 another 2 more zoos started keeping it :
- Berlin Zoo
- Chorzow Zoo ( Poland )
With the 13 US collections @ Coelacanth18 named this makes now 31 zoos working with the Titicaca water frog !

One can hope, but I don't think these are breeding at the same rate the Lake Titicaca Water Frog has been. Fingers firmly crossed that they keep breeding them, though!

I wouldn't know how to put it but I would not expect the Togo Slippery frog to take off as well as the Titicaca frogs since there was research involved before Titicacas were brought into the US. With Togo slipperies I am not aware of any research done about them or a breeding experience prior to their arrival to the US.

Zootierliste mention that Chorzow recieved 2022 10 animals from Prague Zoo.

Thanks! Chorzow Zoo is building a new South America house (that should be open in H1 2023) with terrariums part so this is the place that they should fit nicely. In the mean time they will probably be placed in our old exotarium. I will send some photos when they will be publicly available.

No, but it's up there. Other candidates would probably include the White's tree frog and several species of poison dart frogs.

After nearly a year they are publicly available in Slaskie Zoo - Chorzow (Poland). Old aquarium house.

At the moment the species is kept ( and at most places also bred ) at :
13 EU zoos
7 UK zoos
16 North American zoos
2 Asian zoos
and then I found a photo of 2 tadpoles of the Lake Titicaca water frog which was made at the Parc de las Leyendas in Lima - Peru which make this the first South American zoo keeping ( and breeding ? ) this species.
