Sounds wonderful, though the inability to visit the rest of your family must be disappointing. If there's one day a year I wanna be with my family, it's Christmas Eve.
But due to the worlds events I haven't been able to go abroad since December 2019, and my passport expired, and my appointment isn't until March 9.
We do Christmas Eve, always have, and since moving country to be with my boyfriend, we are keeping this up.
It's 'tradition' for us to do meat fondue. And then presents after.
And for the last 2 years, and this year, we'll also be online at some point and do a quiz my sister puts on.
For New Years day, we got Twycross zoo tickets, as they were cheap early bird ones, hehe.

I take it you’re either in Europe or North America and your parents are in the other? It is. Last time was Christmas 2019, before it all went wrong. We were going to this year, but train prices were just too much months ago already, and my parents visited us during the summer after 2,5 years not seeing each other, so I'm good for another few months, hehe.
Definitely next year for the holidays! But for now, waiting until May, when I finally go over there again.
And there's an ocean inbetween, so it's not as easy either for us.
