Javan Banded Pitta handreared at Waddesdon Manor Aviary, it mentions in the article that this could be a UK first, any ideas on whether that is correct?
They are the only pair in the UK according to the article

Both ... and bongorob is a well respected authority on birds at large

was that a Javan banded pitta? The banded pitta was split recently into three (?) species, so it may still be accurate.

The Zoo Yearbook lists the breeding as Pitta guajana.

The Avicultural Society Magazine index lists it as Malayan Banded Pitta Pitta guajana irena.

So, it could be a first for Waddesdon.
