jbnbsn99 and ituri go to Arizona

Yes I think you might enjoy it just for the rarities. Red handed tamarin, severe macaw, blue duiker, vampire bat, etc, etc...

My local pet shop has a Severe Macaw if you don't want to visit whatever zoo it is you're talking about:p And vampire bats are rarities?

I do not recall seeing vampire bats at any other zoo and I have been to over 70 in the US plus several in Europe.

Huh, that's bizarre. I've seen them in quite a few zoos. Europe doesn't hold the species due to rabies reasons. I believe any zoo that would want to get them would have to hold them off-show entirely.

According to zootierlist they are kept at Zoo Berlin and Poznan Zoo.

Certainly if anywhere in the UK was to keep the species they would have to be housed under permanent Rabies quarantine I cannot say if that would be the same in the rest of Europe.

Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up.

Either way, it seems the species is a lot rarer than I thought.
