As mentioned recently, Asia's largest aquarium opened in South Korea in July. Known as Aqua Planet Jeju, one of the main features was a pair of 4-metre-long whale sharks caught just outside the city.
So to start off some news:
Just over a month after the aquarium's opening, one of the whale sharks died. The following day, an announcement was made that the remaining whale shark would be released into the wild.
