You should be able to find out which animals it keeps by looking at Wherstead via Expert Search on Zootierliste, which says it has the only Madagascar partridges in the UK. Don't be confused by looking via 'Ipswich'. This refers to a zoo in Australia.

I am going for the first time tomorrow, any good or bad things I should expect?

I would hope the Polar bears are showy as it’s the right weather for it and they have some nice areas to see them in.

The newly arrived brown bear is good looking and has a good space and the woodland with the foxes and the reindeer is nicely done. They have some interesting rare breeds if you are into that including some excellent Suffolk Punch horses.

The macaques are a nice group and the dwarf zebu and goats while quite common are very viewable.

I don’t think there are any ‘bad’ things it’s a good day out with some good spaces and animals to see.

I’d be very surprised if they have the only Madagascar Partridges in the UK.

Plenty available privately - how many would you like...?
Not listed on ZTL of course - so 'only ones in the UK' is wrong and should read 'only ones listed on ZTL, which may or may not be accurate'!

My review of Jimmy's Farm:
After a drive up the A12, I have wanted to go to Jimmy's for years and here are my thought:
We were greeted by a farm shop and restaurant, typical for a regular farm, then the ticket booth. Whilst we were inside, we were met by six-banded armadillos and Bactrian camels. The guanaco and capybara exhibit was interesting, the guanacos are on one side and the capybaras can access both sides of the enclosure. There was a woodland based on a steep hill with anteaters (giant) and maras.

As we climbed the hill, it was your typical woodland walk. Dens, muddy path and trees. As we entered the Rare Breeds Farm, Diego's Woods was there with European brown bears, and even though the bears were in a state of torpor, I could still see them in their dens. We fed the pigs (lots of them!) and explored the farm. We had a reservation for the restaurant for 12:00 so we headed back down the hill into the 'Time Walk', which was disappointing and full of laughs to say the least.

At the bottom of the hill, there is a pond home to the black swan, muscovy duck and greylag goose (on my mind), and there was capybara feeding too. By the entrance, there is a paddock with the pygmy goat and cameroon sheep.

By the entrance paddock, they are Lowland tapirs and greater rhea, which the tapirs were asleep, there was a playground opposite it with a bouncing pillow (rare in the UK!). Somali sheep were up ahead, followed by Golden guernsey goats, With it was meerkats and sulcata tortoise, and emu with zebu. Up some steps, there were donkeys and pygmy goats (2 enclosures)

Project Macaque was next, the barbary macaques had a nice exhibit with climbing and a dell with a lake at the bottom, and in the background was some Cameroon sheep. The Suffolk Savannah with common eland and Grant's zebra, was only on one side because Tuya was on the other side.

The POLAR BEARS! 2 reserves, Europe's largest! Ewa was not seen but the rest were seen, also with the active arctic wolves and red-breasted geese, it was worth the money, and it includes a UK first, polar bears in woods! The reindeer and arctic fox were in the wood for the atmosphere. Raccoons were not seen, I did see the coatis though.

As we start to go in the reptile house, a laughing kookaboura is there, the reptile house, with free-roaming blue-and-yellow macaws, is tropical-esque, here is the species list by enclosures:
.Giant watchman goby, yellow tang, common clownfish, regal blue tang, and black bar chromis.
.Royal python
.Pancake tortoise and Sudan plated lizard
.Morelet's crocodile and butterfly goodeid
.Madagascan hissing cockroach, giant african land snail
.Malacey's sceptre and African train milipeede
.Common boa
.Green iguana
.Black-and-white tegu
.Californian kingsnake

A butterfly house, with lemurs? The lemur indoor viewing is in the butterfly house and the specie list of butterflies: Atlas moth, Lemon, Blue moon, Scarlet mormon, Common mormon, Clipper, Owl butterfly (my favourite looking pattern:)) Blue morpho, Paper kite, The flamey, Emerald swallowtail and Red lacewing, The lemurs were showing natural behaviours, like leaping, what the ring-tailed lemurs were doing. The black-and-white ruffed lemurs were enjoying life, relaxing, and there is an aviary with red fody and red-footed tortoise, and the tapirs were out!
