Hey everyone! Happy (belated) July :D Haven’t been on Zoochat as often due to my busy schedule or haven’t been out much this past month. Here are the rules as usual to our regulars and newcomers:

1. 4 entries per month per member.
2. They can upload photos that can be found in the regular gallery if they’d like to.
3. Photos don’t have to necessarily have to be from the month aforementioned in the title although it can take some time to develop photos.
4. It must be photos we consider our best work meaning not blurry or potentially boring.
5. Photo entries must be of different subjects per month although they can be of the same subject the following month as long as all the entries for the month aren’t of the same one. Example such as 4 entries of the same specie wouldn’t be allowed but you can upload the same photo for a later monthly entry.
6. Photos aren’t strictly limited to zoological gardens. They can be from sanctuaries, aquariums, nature reserves, etc.
7. Do try your best to add where they were taken either in the description and/or by adding tags.

Making plans to go down to San Diego after a hiatus, had some personal things to take care of and still going through some things so my apologies  Happy Hunting to all!

I've been wanting to go to Little Rock, Memphis, or both, but it's just been too hot and humid around here for me to get out of the a/c much. Close to 100F or more with heat indexes of 110-115F by 10am. I wish the zoos would open their gates at 6am instead of 9am this time of year.

I wish more zoos would do that here too, the only one that opens early for summer hours out here is the Living Desert Zoo. Sometimes it’s too damn hot even with all the water in the world

You know it's too damn hot when you drink 8-10 liters of water per day and still feel thirsty.
