Animal welfare groups are planning to blockade the site of a proposed kangaroo cull on defence land in Belconnen, Canberra. The Defence Department is preparing to kill about 400 kangaroos. The Wildlife Protection Association says it hopes to stop the cull with a legal challenge but says if that doesn't work, protests will be next.
