Im surprised its being built right at the entrance...I though it was to be built between the tropics house and the elephant exhibit according to a masterplan i saw.
 
The Kansas City Zoo has finally broken ground on this $10 million exhibit, and it is set to open next summer. Perhaps it can solve the zoo's problem with declining attendance, and that seems to be the main ambition according to the video link on the news report.
