Chester Zoo Keeper Vacancies

Have just noticed there is now 3 keeper vacancies at chester, there looking for a primate keeper, Twillight zone keeper and a senior giraffe keeper. tempted to apply but doubt id have much of a chance oh one can dream

Apply! I once decided that my local zoo would never take me and applied to every zoo job that existed, including curators! I have 9 months of volunteering weekends at my local zoo, that is all and I got offered 5 interviews, in the end I decided I couldn't move, so turned them down and am just waiting patiently for my local zoo to spot my potential!
But basically, you should go for it, apply for all 3 and show them how passionate you are about zoos, you have a good chance.

If I remember many years ago on a series about Paignton Zoo one man was so desperate to work there that he obtained a job running the bouncy castle. He made it all the way to senior keeper. You have nothing to lose by applying Lee.

Definitely apply - if they say no you're no worse off than you are now are you ? I still regret turning down an interview for a very lowly trainee keeper position at London Zoo back in 1982 when I was 17 - particularly since IIRC back in those days they were totally willing to train you up and see you through college without any prior zoological qualifications. Instead I chose to go into the heady world of insurance and finance for many years - big mistake !
