Sorry if this is'nt completely accurate.I haven't visited Kids Zoo in a year or so.
Prairie Dog Habitat:I like the idea but the thing about it is that i've seen the idea of popping up in there habitat at about every zoo i've visited.Its a good idea but it just gets sort of franchise-ish after a while.And,some of the pop-up holes are about 9 feet up!
Serval and Marabou Stork Jail Cells:Ok,i know im probably being really hard on them hear but these two prisons suck.The marabou stork should'nt be crammed into a little dog run,he should be running around in the mixed species fields in African Savanna!And the serval is the same story.He should be moved to a kopje habitat in African Savanna as well!I don't know how Toronto Zoo sunk down to that level.
Treehouse Aviary:This is probably my favourite in Kids Zoo.The slide could probably use a good cleaning (you have to pull yourself down with your legs!).The surrounding habitats could be larger but there pretty much good.Maybe they could bring freeflight birds into the aviary?Either then that its fine.
Kids Farm:Again,the yards are ok but they could be expanded and made like National Zoo's Kids Farm?I like how you can pet the animals though.
Overall:Since I am a pre-teen,this area only slightly interests me.It is great for 1 to 8 year olds but basically its just a breather before i start the zoo trek to me.Its good seeing the little kids having fun though.
Question:I was just wondering what ever happend to Littlefootland (the old kids zoo).I just remember seeing a video of my brother there once riding a pony.I was just wonmdering when it closed and what its features were?
