Knowsley Safari Park Knowsley Safari Park News 2018

  • Vicuna are still in the collection just moved down to the Equatorial Trail.
  • And the current tiger enclosure is currently in brilliant use with the lion pride that have access to it and the 2 other smaller paddocks adjacent - It must be one of the biggest spaces given over to lions not in a drive thru reserve in the UK!

I spent a week doing the Knowsley academy in the summer and i can say 100% that the elk is still there she likes a small fenced off grassy area just to the left as you enter her enclosure. The vicuña and capybara were meant to be moving onto the equatorial trail as they were looking to create a South America area

As for the rhino the male Sharkra resides in the large paddock with the zebra and the buffalo and the female rhino and baby share the other paddock with eland.

Granted but don't you think sometimes we could do with out a name that means something to some body else in another language and just go with something native to his / hers origin a few more Gary's, Claire's, Stuart's, Jessica's or even a Colin won't go a miss I mean an Arabian princess, she's a buffalo, no offence miss buffalo if your reading :)
I know a Zebra called Graham

Nice to know the Nilgai are still breeding!

However, where are the males currently kept, I haven't seen one for a long time, last time there where a few four or five within the Baboon enclosure....where are they living now?
