I'm going to be taking a week long professional course at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville's Forensic Anthropology Center this summer, and currently it looks like I'll have some free time during that week. Current plan is to check out Zoo Knoxville and maybe a museum or two, depending on what's there and what people recommend. I was wondering though, what are some of the highlights at Zoo Knoxville? Are there any nature or science museums or nature areas in the city worth checking out? I unfortunately won't have a car with me and I can only get a week off so any places outside of Knoxville aren't an option, but any recommendations in the city and any information about the zoo is greatly appreciated!
