Chester Zoo Komodo Dragons

I believe their male (or a male), Norman, died recently. I think they've still got a female, no idea what her name is tho. I'm sure a Chester regular will know :)

Flora. Nessie was also at Chester for a while, but has since moved to Parken in Sweden. There's also one of Flora's offspring, but if he/she has a name, I dont know it.

He(the youngster) doesn't have a name

At the Moment in Chester:
1,0 Norman, 1994 born in Washington
0,1 Flora, 1998, born in Metrozoo
1,0 E0801, 2008, born in Chester

data as of january 2010

As stated in a previous post Norman died earlier this year.

On the Dutch forum Zoo en Dierentuinen they say that there is coming to Chester a male from Diergaarde Blijdorp / Zoo Rotterdam.
The male is born 9-2004 Reptilaland.
Why I`m a getting the feeling we have heard this before because it was Rotterdam that the late Norman came from and was even born around the time you state and born at the same collection that you list.

Wasn't Norman hatched in Washington in the 1990's? Although he did come to Chester from Rotterdam in 2007.

Norman hatched in August 1994 in Washington and went to Rotterdam in October 1995. The male coming from Rotterdam would have been in the first European-bred clutch hatched in Reptilandia (Gran Canaria) in 2004. I think he might be the one who unexpectedly bred with his sister at Rotterdam when both were thought to be immature.

You are indeed correct and I was wrong!

So this male is a sibiling to the 0:2 at Colchester?
