I think i've heard of Rava before, he was once at Oregon Zoo

That's very possible over the course of his 12 years. Do you know the number of Francois' now at the Portland Zoo? I believe they are still one of only 14 American zoos to currently exhibit them.

A quick check of ISIS, seemed to answer my own question about Portland(Oregon Zoo) and Francois' Langurs. They no longer exhibit them.

As soon as someone out there finds out when (and if) the 2010 snow days are going to take place, can you post the dates here ASAP. THANK YOU.

I heard that it will happen very soon, but I wasn't told an exact date. I'll try to find out asap.

I can't wait for the next snow day, specially since there are two playful snow leopard cubs!

The Los Angeles Zoo will hold its second snow days on February 6 and 7th, 2010.

This year the Sumatran tiger, American black bear, snow leopard and markhor will receive snow.

THANK YOU! That is much earlier than last year and it helps to know now so I can plan ahead.

Note to those of you who want to attend: Get there before the zoo opens and head straight back to get a viewing spot. My photographer cousin and I (who are both tall and walk fast) were the first ones at the snow leopard exhibit. Within 10 minutes, the entire viewing area was blocked by photographers like us with tripods, monopods and huge lenses. It stayed that way for well over an hour. With cubs now, I imagine it will be even worse this year.
