So, I visted for the second time ever today, not knowing about this festival at all. The festival falconers gave me 4 lifers, while birdwatching gave me a wild lifer (broad-winged hawk, previously seen captive at the Outdoor Discovery Center in Holland, MI).

Marsh Museum (always there):
Bluegill
Bluegill/Black Crappie/Longnose Gar
Longnose Gar/Largemouth Bass/Walleye/unsigned Burbot (believe that's what it was)/unsigned silvery minnow dudes beyond my fish knowledge
Goldfish

Outside the Marsh Museum (always there):
1.0 Bald Eagle (Luc)

HawkFest Birds (will NOT be there if you visit):
I believe there were two groups here, a group of falconers and a native rehab group, but there really was no divide to tell who had who, as everyone wandered with their birds. As stated, decent amount of birds I've never seen!
0.1.1 Eastern Screech Owls (chick and red adult)
0.1 Barred Owl
0.1 Domestic Racing Homer Pigeon
0.1 Peregrine Falcon
Great Horned Owl
1.0 Harris' Hawk
0.1 Saker Falcon chick
American Goshawk
1.0 Merlin
Red-Tailed Hawk (still young, but unlike the screech owl and saker falcon, no longer fluffy)

Edit: this was today, 9/21/24

There was a thunderstorm at Hawkfest this year, so a lot of falconers left. Notheless, still saw 1.0 red-tailed hawk, 0.1 great horned owl, 1.0 peregrine falcon, a merlin, and the same 0.1 "pigeon" as last year... which I'm now REALLY confused on regarding species as he called it a "Persian dove". I cannot find any species or breed with that name (Google pulls up stuff about the Eurasian collared dove but I'm not convinced). There are pictures of the cutie on the Lake Erie Metropark website if you want to help, though this will be hard as she's black and white piebald instead of any natural color. I still feel she looks like a racing homer the most, but he was like "not a pigeon". Lake Erie Metropark Marshland Museum – Huron-Clinton Metroparks HawkFest – Huron-Clinton Metroparks

Aaaand the Marsh Museum tanks. Tried to ID the minnows this time, I think they're emerald shiners?
Emerald Shiners
Bluegill/Black Crappie/Longnose Gar/Yellow Perch/Emerald Shiners
Longnose Gar/Largemouth Bass/"Burbot" is now properly signed as a Bowfin/Emerald Shiners
Still a random Goldfish tank

The Toledo Zoo actually was there! No ambassadors, though.
