Las Pumas Rescue Center and Sanctuary - Species List and Review

When I was on my trip to Costa Rica in January, we visited the Centro de Rescate y Santuario Las Pumas/Las Pumas Rescue Center and Sanctuary. This is a wildlife sanctuary/rescue in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica.

Very briefly, it was founded initially because the people who founded it became aware of an injured puma and realized it was a larger issue they could help to solve. This center takes in injured wildlife and either rehabilitates it for release or keeps it in their sanctuary.

The facilities themselves are well-maintained. I feel like some of the enclosures may have been on the small side, specifically the monkey and parrot ones, but for the most part I thought it was fine. However, there was a chicken that was outside of the little domestics area and nobody seemed overly concerned about it.

Anyways, on to the species list, created from my memory/pictures and their website:
Panamanian white-faced capuchin
Geoffroy's spider monkey

White-tailed deer
Collared peccary

Scarlet macaw

Keel-billed toucan

White crowned parrot
Yellow-naped parrot
Red-lored parrot
Mealy parrot

Grison

Puma

Ocelot

Jaguarundi

Jaguar

Hoffman's two-toed sloth

Nicaraguan slider
Ornate wood turtle
Scorpion mud turtle

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them. I didn't really know what to include in this.
