I hate to nitpick but it would have been 2007 actually. The latter seal had been rescued only two weeks prior to my Taronga visit in September 2007, both were recovering in the animal hospital at the time. Meanwhile dear Brooke was still swimming around in the historic Pinniped pools, she died after being moved to the Great Southern Oceans a few months later.
