Leopards & tigers encroach on snow leopards in a warming world

The reason tigers displace leopards in Nepal-protected areas is due to the lack of large-bodied prey species like gaur, sambar, and wild buffalo. Whenever large prey species are available that's what tigers prefer to go for while leopards go for smaller prey.
