Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo Lied Jungle/Desert Dome Floor Plan?

I’ve just spent my first day out of a two day trip visiting Henry Doorly Zoo, and was wondering if anyone has any blueprints or floor plans for Omaha’s major buildings! Hope to hear from y’all.

Hello and hope you are enjoying for visit so far. I’m not sure any of these exist anymore in the public forum. I feel like the only time I’ve seen a printed copy of something like this was in the newspaper back in the day when they opened as they would have a guide. The Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom Pavilion used to have scale models of the interiors of these facilities back when they were new. However, aside from the Desert Dome, most of these buildings opened when the internet wasn’t a thing yet, so sadly those news articles would only exist in an archive somewhere.

I have started to sketch these layouts by hand from my countless visits over the years to create a historical record of the various species held over the years, but I am nowhere close enough to show these off at this time. I can more or less draw the approximate floor plans accessible to the public from memory, just haven’t had the time to finish them.

I wish they had little maps for emergency exits posted like the historical buildings in St Louis so you can see all the exhibit spaces, but I’ve not seen any.

Maybe someone on here has something, but these have been things I’ve been trying to compile or find for awhile now and have not successful.

Is this your home zoo? I finally can say I’m jealous of someone else’s home zoo. This is easily the best facility I’ve ever been to. I’m not even too torn up that it’s raining all day my second day here. Thanks for your help even if there’s nothing fruitful for it, I really do appreciate it.

The Saint Louis plans are so nice. Sometimes they even show the holding facilities, if I remember correctly. I’ll try to snap some of those next time I’m there.

Yes, this is my home zoo. I'm glad you are enjoying your time. That's one of the benefits of the major buildings here, when the weather is not that agreeable, there is still a pretty decent amount to spend your time in. I definitely took photos of the building schematics on the walls of the Bird House, Primate House, and Reptile House when I visited Saint Louis last Memorial Day so I could print them out and label which exhibit is which!

Saint Louis is nearly as good as Omaha IMO, you're lucky, too. Saint Louis also has the perk of being free.
