Hi fellow zoochatters,
I worked some days in making a list all species I saw in captivity. Such lists exists already in various old threads in Zoochat but there will be some major differences:
1- I will try to illustrate each species with a good photo of it from the Gallery. If the species if absent from the Gallery I will upload my own photos into the gallery for link it here.
2- Species will be arranged by frequency I've seen in zoos. It will be grouped by species seen at 10 or more zoos, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 zoos (including aquariums, vivariums, etc) and finally a category for species seen in captivity but never in zoos (at exhibitions, pet shops, private collections, etc).
3. Inside each "frequency" group, species will be arranged alphabetically by common name. I just wanted to have some fun with English common names, since they're very prevalently used here in zoochat. I will use scientific names only for those species that doesn't have a common name.
If this thread is unappropiate or should not be in this section of the forum, please let me know.
