This is an attempt to list every species on exhibit at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge during my visit on 6-16-15. I am including species for which there is a sign on each exhibit, or the identification brochure available to lodge guests and visitors, or species identified by the “cast members” stationed at many of the exhibits. Some of the limited amount of signs are now outdated so I have disregarded them when I know them to be wrong. The “cast members” are the greatest source of information since the brochure does not specify which animals are in which exhibit, but there were a few contradictions in their identifications. This is not intended to be a full account of the collection. Also, species on exhibit are sometimes moved, so some that were there one day may have disappeared from public view the next. This list may be of more interest to those already familiar with the lodge since I am not arranging the species by animal type.

SUMMARY:

By my count, the total number of exhibits currently at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is: 7

By my count, the total number of species in permanent exhibits is: 34
The number of species I counted can be broken down into the following categories:
Mammals: 20
Birds: 13
Reptiles: 1
Amphibians: 0
Fish: 0
Insects and Arachnids: 0

So they swapped Greater Kudu for Lesser?

They used to keep Nyala in all the habitats?

What happened to the Sables?

Interesting to see Springbok. Are they a phase in species?
