1. Your personal zoo highlight visit
Visiting the Honolulu Zoo in August. This zoo had a lot of first-time species for me like hamadryas baboons, marabou storks, and victoria crowned pigeons. It was also the first time I saw a common hippopotamus in a while (6 years since the last time, I think).
2. Favorite piece of zoo news
Detroit Zoo has two polar bear cubs born. It was amazing to see both cubs in person.
3. Biggest Disappointment
My grandparents caught COVID around early/mid-December. Thankfully they are doing much better now.
4. Added bonus, is there anything you are planning or looking forward to next year?
I'm applying for an Internship at the Indianapolis Zoo. I don't have any trips planned because I really have to wait and see if I get accepted. If I do visit some zoos, I'm thinking I'll visit John Ball Zoo, Binder Park Zoo, and go to the Toledo Zoo again because I haven't been there in a long time.
