Madagascar Exhibits with Native/Endemic Marine Species?

Hey y’all!

Does anyone know of any zoos/aquariums with Madagascar exhibits that display their marine life? I know the Florida Aquarium has a long reef tank, but that is all I can currently think of. I especially wonder if any have Madagascar anemonefish, short-tailed nurse sharks, or Madagascar coral croucher gobies. Thanks!

Toronto doesn't have a dedicated Madagascar exhibit perse, but they have a handful of breeding programs dedicated to a few endangered freshwater Madagascar fish species.
- Garaka Cichlid (Ptychochromis loisellei)
- Zonobe Rainbowfish (Rheocles vatosa)
- Joba Mena Cichlid (Ptychochromis insolitus)
- Marojejy Rainbowfish (Bedotia marojejy)

I can't think of anywhere with specifically Madagascar-themed marine displays, but many aquariums will have species found in Madagascar as much of its marine ichthyofauna is species found widely in the Indian Ocean/broader Indo-Pacific.

Thanks. New question: Do you know of any facility who displays/breeds Madagascar anemonefish, short-tailed nurse sharks (I think the Tennessee Aquarium has bred those before), and/or Madagascar coral crouched gobies, regardless of what type of complex they are in? Thanks

Short-tailed Nurse Shark is kept at Aqua World Ibaraki Oarai Aquarium in Japan. I've not heard of anywhere that keeps the anemonefish or coral croucher.

Thanks. I have seen all three for sale in the private trade before but I was looking for some fresh new genetics to start some new bloodlines with in the future. More aquariums should keep these beauties honestly. Great conservation value, too (especially for the short-tails. Easier to maintain than common Caribbean nurse sharks).

Also CAS allegedly has/had coral croucher gobies but I do not know for sure due to the turbulent nature of Zootierliste.

I believe I was the one who added that. Recently saw the species (finally!) there during my most recent visit, there were at least two in the tank they were in.
