If there are any other cat fanatics like me out there, you may be interested to learn about CAT NEWS, a magazine published twice a year by the IUCN Cat Specialist Group. It contains the latest news and sightings of wild cats - I mean unusual sightings, like new location for pallas cat in India, NOT things like a tourist saw a lion in the Serengeti. It also has short articles from cat field biologists listing their findings.
Although it mainly pertains to cats in the wild, they do occasionally list captive/zoo issues when they are pertinent. For example, the new issue (#50) has an update on the iberian lynx breeding program. It is a bit expensive, $50 a year in U.S. dollars, but worth it for true cat lovers.
