He climbed over a fence to take a selfie with it. He grinned and posed next to it until the 4.5 m female crocodile, Lalay, suddenly snapped and sank her fangs into him. He screamed out in agony as her jaw tightly latched onto his arm and then bit into his thighs before trying a deadly death roll to tear him apart. The attack lasted 30 minutes before zookeepers intervened. Lalay’s handler bashed her on the head with a piece of cement, making her loosen her grip and let go of the man. The victim was urgently taken to hospital where he needed 50 stitches.
