A new lineage of long-snouted tyrannosaurs has been identified in China. The species has been named Pinocchio rex by the press for it's long, beak-like snout. I cannot tell a lie - this dinosaur was cool.
The interesting, but less mediagenic, actual name is Qianzhousaurus sinensis.
This species lived at the time of the meteor impact 65 millionish years ago.
It’s big. It’s scary. It’s called Pinocchio rex.
