Hola everyone , today i visited the natrual history mueseum in Mexico city. There are many exhibitions : human beings , space and the universe , geology , botanical and examples of taxidermy. It is a small natrual history mueseum and obviously doesnt compare to those of other capital cities in the world. (The natrual history mueseum of london for example) There was also a small reptile house in the mueseums grounds so i had a look around. The reptile house is modest and small ,but the terrariums were big and most of the animals seemed content and there were some which were very active. The reptile house seemed to keep almost only venemous species of snakes ,particulary rattlesnakes and vipers including some poisonous esporpion lizards and a gila monster. I didnt see any species of constrictors or pythons. While i was there one particular little brat kept thumping the glass of a diamond back rattle snakes terrarium and the snake reacted by its famous rattle warning and hissing very loudly, a member of staff came to the rescue and told the child to leave the exhibition. ( That was a very good thing to see , as usually in Mexican zoos , staff dont seem to care about visitors annoying the animals) I reccomend any zoo chat members planning on visiting Mexico city to stop by to see this little mueseums reptile house as it is a superb collection of venemous snakes. Overall i left the reptile house very impressed.
