This is a western Michigan bird sanctuary with some resident birds. It's worth checking out. Please note that I'll be bad at specific numbers because there are plenty of wild birds too (I have never experienced a bigger birdwatching nightmare than "mixed flock of greater scaups, lesser scaups, and ring-necked ducks that you think are the same species at first and therefore get extremely confused on ID due to the changing characteristics between each individual"). I've never seen a bigger flock of trumpeters in my life.

Loop Lagoon:
At least 4-5 resident trumpeter swans
At least 1 trumpeter/whooper swan hybrid
x1 mute swan
At least 2 resident Canada geese
More than 1 domestic duck (the individual I saw that got me asking an employee in concern that one got dumped looked like an Ancona)

Birds of Prey:
0.4 red-tailed hawks
0.2 great horned owls
x1 barred owl (sorry, forgot gender)
2.0 bald eagles

Pheasantry (strikingly similar design to the one at the Toledo Zoo):
2.2 ring-necked pheasants
At least 2 Japanese Coturnix quail (labeled as Coturnix coturnix, but I believe they are domestic)
At least 1 northern bobwhite
0.1 Elliot's pheasant (a definite first for me)

Came back today.

Now in the visitor center/gift shop: Monarch Caterpillars/Chrysalis

There is now a Tundra Swan in residence in the pond. No more signs of Domestic Ducks, though who knows as the area is huge.

Barred Owl (possibly different from last time as he's missing an eye) is male.

They now have a 1.0 Eastern Screech Owl.

Serious downgrades to the pheasantry overall :(. It is now mostly empty (either completely so or sections altered to be non-animal exhibits, eg native prairie planting).
1.1 Northern Bobwhites now if she wasn't hiding from me before.
Only 2.0 Ring-Necked Pheasants, ladies are gone. Both are separately housed in lonesome.
0.1 Elliot's Pheasant now lives by herself, without one of the two Japanese Coturnix Quail. Both Quail are gone.
