Mini-Zoo Tour

Hi there...

After getting constantly nagged by my four year old neice because I went to see different Zoos without her last summer i have decided to take her on her very first mini zoo tour this week.

We are going to go to Blackpool Zoo, then Chester and finally Twycross.

Is there anything i should particular i should look out for? Is there any best time to se the tiger cubs at chester? (Thats what i am really excited about seeing... me and my big cat love...lol). Another highlight will be catching up with the cheetah cubs and seeing Pele the jaguar outside. What about the snow leopard cubs at Twycross? will be nice to see how much they have grown

Any info at all will be appreciated :) thanks
 
The snow leopard cubs are super. They are much more active in the chiller weather. Early to late afternoon is often the best time to catch them busying around - between about 2 and 4.
 
Blackpool Zoo

You should get to see the young colobus babies at Blackpool born in 2012.

Things you must watch out for;-

If you want to get to the talks get there early.
The tree shrews are at the entrance of the Dinosaur safari.
Three camel calves.
Magellanic penguin chicks (There currently the only ones in the UK)
Young gorilla and gibbon.
The red pandas are 95% always up the tree.
Sea lion shows are very good.
If you want to see the Hartmann's mountain zebras then I suggest when you get to the Red pandas then try to find the bongo house which is opposite it. Turn left there and go right round the corner to see the zebras indoors. Most people miss that.

You shouldn't have a problem visiting Blackpool, it's not to big.

So the later is the day seems to be the best time for the tiger cubs and the leopard cubs... yeahhh!!

Just be ready for an influx of pictures!..lol
