In 1997 the Missouri Botanical Garden obtained a one-year old Blue-grey tanager ( Thraupis episcopus ) from the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
Without a partner it lived its live in a rainforest-enclosure about an acre in size and died earlier this year at an age of about 24 years !

I didnt these they kept a Tanager in there- on a trip to see St. Louis Zoo last year I visited the Botanical Garden, and found it to have some really nice gardens, yet did not realise there were any animals.
