Chester Zoo Monorail

Just wondered if anybody knew how far around the zoo you actually go on the monorail and if you think its worth going on? I went on it as a child but can't remembe how far it went around the zoo.

One ticket for the monorail allows two trips on it. However you are not allowed to ride a complete loop.

For example, you have to board the monkey islands station and depart at Jubilee station. Once you've had a look around that part of the zoo, then you can get back on the monorail and return to monkey islands station.

I don't usually use the monorail because I prefer the walk (and the new bridge has made that easier anyway) however when I visit with younger or older people then it seems decent value if their legs can't walk all the way.

It also offers a different view of the zoo

because my sisters couldn't bare to walk another step for a while we took the monorial which goes from around the tiger enclosure (or is it the lions?) to the monkey islands. i would o found it hard to incorporate the monkey islands (and asian plains) without going back on ones self so we took the monorail to the monkey islands and surrounding exhibits then took the ride back to the tigers (or lions?) and continued on our walk
