I don't like the sound of a new Star Wars movie every two or three years. They will turn into Police Academy-style dreck surely? (Or have they already done that? :p)

Well, Star Trek has successfully outlived Gene Rodenberry and the last Star Trek film is IMO the best ever. So perhaps regular Star Wars productions could be ok? (Really hard to top the original three though).

My favourite was the last one released, which would have been Episode 3. A new Star Wars movie every couple years would be fantastic. James Bond endures, even though the plot has remained the same for decades. The newest Indiana Jones was a disappointment for fanboys of the originals, yet Star Wars Episodes 1,2,3 were relatively well-received by fans. I think that once they give it a decent go, then most fans will love it. I for one am looking forward to more episodes. :D

I don't recall The Phantom Menace being well-received by anyone, and at the time I was working with many people in the industry. If the move to Disney means that George Lucas stops messing with the originals then that will be a bonus, but I can't help think they're just diluting the magic of the first three movies... and some of the magic of my childhood.

Jar Jar was annoying, but the amazing pod race probably made up for that. Yes, Episode 1 was panned by some, but guess what? We all went to see it and the two sequels!

Episode 1 wasn't half as good as the originals, but for all of it's flaws there was still Darth Maul, the podrace and the seeds of Palpatine's rise to power, which is a brilliant backstory.

Episode 2 was fine, with particularly the second half on Geonosis being one of my favourite parts of the series [arena battle and start of the clone wars]

Episode 3 I actually think is my favourite, just so much that happens and there never seems to be a dull moment. The only flaw, Darth Vader's 'Noooo'
