Names of individual animals in Japanese zoos

I have noticed that Japanese zoo signs often focus on the individual animals with identification charts and names.

Can anyone list the names of animals in Japanese zoos? (The given/pet names rather than species names).

Are there trends/patterns/themes to the names? Are there many examples of local names or are most Japanese in origin?

Also it would be great if anyone has pictures of this kind of signage.

I mean, there is a lot of animals out there...

If we are talking about "pet names" then we can get anything from itterations of the Japanese name of the species to foreign names.

However there is a litter of Amur Leopards born in Yokohama may years ago named Pin, Pon, and Dashyu/Ping, Pong, and Dash which is based on Japanese name for "Ding Dong Ditch". I thought that was a funny cute theme to name animals after.

However, by fostering attachment to individual animals, zoos often face the issue of developing individual fans who focus on the specific animals rather than seeing them as representatives of their species. When Ueno Zoo's pandas were returned to China, there was a constant outcry from individual fans opposing their relocation to China, and even individuals spreading false rumors emerged. Within the Japanese zoo community, there are frequent debates regarding the disclosure of individual animal names.

Zoorasia is a place where surplus individuals go.
