Hello! First time posting on ZooChat, so I apologize if I am doing this wrong!
I am visiting Nashville in a few weeks, and I've set aside a day to visit the zoo. Does anyone have any recommendations for a first-time visitor? Thanks so much!
I recommend contacting the zoo in advance to see if their ambassador spotted fanaloka will be brought out on the day of your visit. Nashville is the only holder of this species in the U.S. and it is something very much worth seeing, although I don't believe there's a set schedule for when he is brought out.
It should also be noted that the giraffes are currently off-show due to construction of some new exhibits in the surrounding area. Viewing for the rhinos is also rather limited as a result. The main entrance plaza is also closed for the rest of the month due to construction which also means you'd miss the macaws and blue cranes unless you plan on visiting after February.
