A male Green Sea Turtle has arrived from Bournemouth Oceanarium this week

A male olive ridley sea turtle (named 'Heidi') has arrived at the National Marine Aquarium from the Maldives. He was found entangled in a ghost net, with severe wounds to both front flippers that meant the front left flipper had to be amputated. Despite the injury, he is a strong swimmer. The olive ridley is now on display in the Great Barrier Reef tank.

Had the most wonderful week at the aquarium as a Work Experience Student! Had participated in some activities and actually fed Friday, the green sea turtle!
To let you know, they have recently put new seahorses on exhibit last week if anyone is interested.

Their Facebook and Twitter says they are Lined Seahorses, which I guess must be Hippocampus erectus.
Thank you. That's a species I haven't photographed before, so a return visit is due quite soon - luckily I asked for a free annual pass when I visited last week ;)
