New Aquarium in Batumi

A winner has been picked from an international competition, to design a new multi million dollar aquarium for the new sea front aquarium in Batumi, Georgia.
The 2000m aquarium building is designed to look like a pile of tidal washed pebbles and looks very attractive, the new build includes a dolphinarium and habitats showcasing the Aegean Sea & the Mediterranean Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Black Sea & the Red Sea.

As someone with close ties to Georgia and being there at least ones a year, I can say that the money spend on this aquarium could have been spend a lot better. Stupid prestige project. (And this is coming of a Zoo geek).
