Saw the American thread thought i would copy it.
So what have we to look forward to in 2010.

London - A start on a Sumatran tiger exhibit

Edinburgh - A start on a giant panda exhibit and maybe the selling off of a
few acres as a starting point for the renewed masterplan.

Chester - A new African wild dog enclosure

Paignton - A start on a new enclosure for hamadryas baboon

Marwell - A possible start on a new cheetah exhibit

Bristol - A possible new exhibit for rainforest species

Cotswold WP - A new giraffe house and enclosure and a wolverine exhibit

Longleat - the opening of animal adventures

Colchester - A start on the new tropical house

Twycross - A new waders aviary and snow leopard enclosure as part of the new entrance complex

Belfast - an exhibit for a mysterious Asian animal (species unknown AL!)

South lakes - Possible new giant otter exhibit

HWP - Nothing i know of yet, but i think completion of the large aviary next yo the visitors centre and possibly (in my opinion) moving the Amur leopards from Edinburgh.

Jersey - Madagascan bird aviary

Thats all i can think of, please feel free to criticise, amend or add.

Longleat's website still says 'Animal Adventure: Opening Autumn 2009' so I don't know if they'll manage to squeeze it in for half-term at the end of the season; but given ZooChatter's reports, I think 2010 will be more likely. And yeah, Marwell's cheetah enclosure will hopefully start next year subject to planning permission, and the only known facts for it at the mo is that it will be four times the size of the current one and an overhead viewing platform is likely. Another possible 2010 start is the renovation of Marwell's rhino house.

Hm, I'm not sure about South Lakes taking on Giant Otters. Would they create another disfunctional mixed exhibit? I hope they do well enough with them, but I'd much rather see them at the New Forest Park (sister collection to the Chestnut Centre, the other UK holder of this species) then SL.

to be honest, i don't want SL taking on giant otters at all, i think chester, bristol, marwell, edinburgh or the aspinall parks would do a much better job

I agree, however you may find that Giant otters will become more popular in the next 10 years and like red panda's you will be able to see them in nearly every collection in the UK.

I understand they're taking over enclosure vacated when the Pygmy Hippos and Mandrills moved, so I don't think they'll be mixed (hopefully, anyway...).

I certainly think they're set to become a lot more widespread in the next few years.
