New family of living spiders discovered

Fantastic news that a new family could be found in the world's third most populous nation!

I can't help but smile when I see the 'International Science Times' quoting Wikipedia though. :D

"Arachnid species in North America are, by and large, well understood. So much so that Wikipedia notes that Trogloraptor is one of only three new species to be described since 1990. However, the unique environment still produce surprises."

that's a shockingly bad article from something calling itself "International Science Times"!!
Apart for the Wikipedia reference, two things that leapt out immediately at me:

"A new breed of spider has been discovered ...."
"Instead of waiting in a web, Trogloraptor's hang from silk..." [there's that apostrophe again!! :D]

Well, considering that until you pulled me up on it, I thought that the singular of species was 'specie' (:D), I am definitely not in a position to comment on the use of the term 'breed'. It does have a sort of pet connotation though.

I'm all over the apostrophe 's' though. :D

with the apostrophe they managed to use it correctly throughout the article so they don't have an excuse for "Trogloraptor's" except lazy proof-reading.

I never seen this kind of the spider before that seems to be new one rarely seen.

Great shots.
