That sounds interesting. Jersey is one of my must visits :p
 
Some nice birds on that list. Surely it can't be long before Madagascar Crested Ibis make it to Britain?

Just possibly Madagascar pochard too eventually. I see that the third clutch rescued from the wild has hatched, so the Durrell/WWT team are now rearing 40 ducklings in improvised quarters in Madagascar.

thi is certainly an exiting development. i can't make out form the article wether lemurs are walk-through as well, care to help?

ps sorry if its really obvious.
 
Hiya Chaps!

The weather since the opening on Thursday has been nothing short of appalling, so no photos from me yet!

The Kirindy is deciduous forest, so save for the temperature difference and perhaps extensive rain... the winter appearance is quite realistic, bare branches and all.
But we all know every exhibit looks better come the summer, so I'll be updating with newer photos maybe around April, May.

The walkthrough houses birds only, the lemurs are in a large central open area where the perimeter can be walked with a lookout over the enclosure at one end.
